Here’s a fun fact, kids- Graffiti; that is to say, the rather misnomered “Hip Hop Graffiti”, by which I mean, the modern culture of graffiti writing- PREDATES Hip-Hop.

That’s right. Predates. Writing evolved and solidified as a culture all on its own, with writers listening to all sorts of music. Only later did writing get incorporated into hiphop as one of the four elements.

Still, even today, writers are a motley bunch; wearing all sorts of fashions and listening to all sorts of music.

So y’all can write and still listen to your Tchaikovsky, yo.

Don’t sweat it. Graffiti: It’s bigger than hip-hop, hip-hop, hip-hop, hip.

This lil’ canvas is Security Mounted!

It’s a little trick I picked up while working for the man. Regardless, this lil’ canvas is already gone. “Security Mounting” indeed! It’s a cute trick for a gallery setting, but the term loses it’s meaning when applied to the street.

This is a combo of two OLD stencils. I screwed this lil’ bad boy up about a month ago, and it’s already gone.

Hey- sorry about the delay on new freshness, but things are going to be a little slow for the next week. I’m just crazy-stupid busy. But in about a weeks time, I’m gonna come back with very exciting stuff!!!! Stay tuned!

I just wanted to get a note up to thank everyone who has been sending in their love stories! I haven’t had a chance to reply to many of you who have been gracious enough to share your love story with me, but I do want you to know that I’m reading- and being amazed by them!

Thanks so much! This going to be a really special project. Making a whole slew of lovers locks is definitely very high on my priorities once I get a bit more breathing room again.
