Finn Chip

This is Finn Chip.

He died in 1942. At the time, He was employed in the men’s dormitory at Post Junior College, in Waterbury, Connecticut.

On the day he died, Finn had a date with a particularly beautiful girl.

The war was on, so Finn was able to have a date every night. Always a date, always beautiful girls. He only worked at the college to pay for the dates and his car. He lived at home with his parents.

The food was good, the movie went well- and none of Finns advances had been rebuffed. Afterwards, He and his date got into his 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe and began to drive to a secluded spot.

They were trying to listen to the radio, but it wasn’t working. It just so happened that at 9:22 a radio silence order was put into effect, and every radio station from Mexico to Canada had to stop broadcasting.

Finn didn’t know this, and had thought that his radio had broken.

He kept fiddling with it, instead of watching the road.
