Follow Up 5- Full Bloom Under A Foot Of Snow
So remember that Mario Block Themed Guerrilla Gardening I did? The Fire Flowers?
They died. They always do. Plants in planters have a hard time surviving. They’re quite vulnerable to drying out. Maybe next time I should move to a more sustainable form of Guerrilla Gardening. Something in the soil…. with perennials.
Well, this is certainly “sustainable” anyway! Someone added plastic flowers to the empty planter! Lovely! What other “flowers” can remain in full bloom under a foot of snow?
The first summer-time pics, and the tip, come courtesy of Leg Jerkin’ Fun!

Get a bunch of flower seeds, making sure they’ll bloom at about the same time. Now go find an unspoiled plot of dirt and plant them in whatever shape you’d like! (you could even use a big stencil that isn’t too intricate). The more intrusive thing would be to “de-seed” the topsoil of a new plot this spring and plant your own pattern on top, so you wouldn’t have to tend it – it’d be done by the officials!
