Lockdown: KEEP

I’ve been meaning to do these for about… a year?

I’m always trying to think of new means and methods of getting up other than spraypaint and posters.

In Canada, during the winters, these classic methods fail. I’ve talked about it before, but the paste freezes before it can dry- so it fails to bond and then flakes and falls off. And the paint kinda thins. It doesn’t come out in a mist- it squirts out, all runny and gross. Bad for stencilling.

You can help prevent this by keeping your can tucked away in an inside jacket pocket- which keeps it warm. But the metal can cools quickly once you take it out, (and feels very cold when you put it back against your chest. Brrrr!) and if you need several cans, you soon run out of room.

This stuff is only really a big problem on those very cold nights, but still,

I’m aways trying to think of different ways.

Here’s one! Engraving locks! These ones are solid brass. They have a very nice luster to them. I got them at the dollar store.

An Engraver- in shape, size, sound, and operation is very remanisant of a Tattoo gun. So I’ve decided to use the great, classic, old school, Sailor Jerry style tats as the inspiration for these. I love Sailor Jerry’s work.

I choose 4-letter words to fit the format of knuckle tattoos. Today- “KEEP”
