Memorial Monday- Norman Breakey

HEY SHIT

It’s another Memorial Monday!

Norman James Breakey was born on this day -February 25- in 1891.

He was a Torontonian inventor- that should have been rich and famous.

He invented the paint roller, for pete’s sake. Before him everyone used brushes! Can you imagine?

His invention was one of those absolutely brilliant inventions that was just waiting- almost needing to happen. Unfortunately, he became a victim of his ideas brilliance when everyone else eagerly ripped it off, and he didn’t have the money to defend his patent.

He died without fame or fortune.

What more fitting tribute to him than a roller graff of his name in the city where he lived?

    I DID NOT KNOW THAT!
yer right it is appropriate. If I’d known I’d have done this roller piece with a paint brush vs roller avi
