Mounted Monday 3

It’s a Mounted Monday,

In fact,

It’s a Memory-Lane-Mounted-Monday,

I made this many years ago in Windsor. I put this poster up on the reverse side of a sign that sat on the shoulder of the highway that lead into and out of America.

It was shortly after 9-11. An important time to remember that you were lucky to live in America. And why. Not just the cheap, delicious, preservative free beer.

It’s been a long, painful, fearful time since then. America has never been as great as its hype, and already had its fair share of excesses and skeletons in its closet, but we saw an America that slide father than many even thought possible. An America that moved closer to the commingling of church and state than maybe ever before while simultaneously affirming the Righteousness of her Wiretapping and Torture and a thousand other sins.

it seems America may have finally shaken her fear and found her pride again.

Remember you’re lucky to be Americans. Remember why.

I hope this talk of change is real.
