This is Proto Chip.

He is the first Lil’ Chip I ever sewed. Chip mark 1.0.

Every other Lil’ Chip in the show is a 3.0 Chip.

It took me 3 tries on the pattern to get everything the way I wanted. I also added the helmet pattern to version 3.0.

To make the helmet pattern, I traced the various surfaces of my actual helmet, and then shrunk it down- so the sewn helmets have the exact same dimensions as the original!

Pretty neat.

But anyway,

Proto Chip has some problems,

His strapping is coming off, and his hands are sewn on backwards.

But he made it into the show!

Unlike the only 2.0 Chip…
