The Future Is Failing

So awhile back I went off about the Telus monkey

Turns out it is a real species, not “just a computer-generated simulation designed for maximum cuteness”.

Telus’ motto, “The future is friendly”, struck me as ironic. What kind of future are we building with our obsession with disposable consumer electronics and goods? Certainly not the future we once dreamed of.

Well, this stencil is my response.

You should watch Manufactured Landscapes.

Also, check out these images, it “Depicts 426,000 cell phones, equal to the number of cell phones retired in the US every day.”

EVERY DAY

The Future is Failing.
